The problem of improving the energy efficiency of a stand-alone vector-controlled induction generator (IG) is considered. To determine the optimum value of the magnetic flux by the criterion of minimum power loss, a neural network was synthesized. The estimation of the torque and speed of the generator are fed to the inputs of the network. Generator magnetization curve is taken into account when optimizing losses and estimating rotor flux. The simulation results confirm a significant improvement in the energy characteristics of IG with satisfactory dynamic parameters of the DC link voltage stabilization circuit.
