The possibility of the use of impulse electromagnetic field for contactless treatment of weld seam on aluminum sheet in case of weak skin effect which provides mechanical stresses and induced currents of high density is described. Using several inductor models whit different arrangement of current circuits the distributions of magnetic pressure, mechanical extension stresses in the sheet and the inductor current density are computed. It is established that in case of weak skin effect the mechanical extension stresses reach yield point at an extremely high values of currents in circuit. The duration and amplitude of inductor currents that provide a weak skin effect in aluminum sheet and allow to obtain required mechanical stresses or desired values of induced current density for electroplastic effect in the weld seam are calculated. References 8, figures 11.
